As The British Simmental Society celebrates it's 50th year anniversary we all find ourselves in unprecedented times. As a result of this the society have put together various virtual show classes that are proving extremely popular. These classes are proving to be an excellent window to view the breed from the various herds across the UK. It has been so lovely to see some great cattle and I think our highlight was the Senior Bull Class as you don't often get to see these animals at shows as they are busy out at work.
Our very own Dan Evans, one of the society's longest standing members, was asked to judge one of these virtual classes. Heifers born in 2020 this was a massive class with a whopping 113 entrants! Dan certainly had his work cut out. Congratulations to Mr G Martinez, Cheshire who took first place.
